Learning foreign languages since 2002

I learned at my high school (Regina Caeli in Dilbeek) 4 languages; Dutch, French, English and German. When I was 15 in september 2002, I started with Spanish at the evening school at GLTT in Sint-Genesius-Rhode.

I did this for 2 years and then I went a year to Argentina on a cultural exchange where they speak Spanish. During that year, I started learning also Italian. When I came back, I followed 3 more years of Spanish at CLT leuven, where I got my C1++ degree in Spanish.

When I finished my Bachelor in Medicine, I went a month and a half to Portugal to learn Portuguese at the Summer School of the University of Lisbon. I got a taste of languages that made me study for 3 years several languages. I studied Arabic for 8 months in Morocco and 3 months in Egypt, both intensive courses. In Morocco I studied at Qalam wa Lawh, in Egypt at Al-Fajr, and in Belgium I got my  final degree at GLTT and CLT. In Egypt I also followed a German intensive at the Geuthe institute. In Belgium Swahilli at ILT and Portuguese I followed CLT and GLTT, but was too busy to finish courses of German, Swahili and Portuguese.

From 2011-2013 I studied in French at ULB and later on in 2014 I studied a semester Lingala at CC Kuumba with a private teacher.

Since 2014 I have been travelling to Brazil and now I count 7 months in Brazil and a month and a half in portugal of immersion.

In 2015 I started self-study of German and Italian, mostly by travelling to these countries, reading books and self-study and on duolingo. In the beginning of 2017 I started learning Levantinian Arabic with a private teacher and since 2011 I have a lot of Levantian friends so I could practice a lot.
