Language Exchange Club's, since 201o
In August 2010, Willemjan Vandenplas started a group on facebook called The Couchsurf Leuven Language Exchange Club to start a language exchange in the student city of Leuven. It soon grew out to be an established gettogether in Leuven's STUK Cultural Center.
We started as a group exchanging different languages, then we appointed Language Ambassador's who would teach each a specific language from Dutch to Persian.The raison we did this was because our group kept growing and more and more people were coming to our meetings. At the end of the year MO* and Veto (the student paper of Leuven University) published an article about our meetings.

sInce 2012, we started with The Middle Eastern Club, but this never kicked off, although we tried several times. So we started practicing one to one.
In 2017, we started with The Brazilian Club Brussels, which is still under development. At the moment, we are posting Brazilian parties.
Later in 2017, we also started a Couchsurf Brussels Language Exchange Club in Brussels. This is still connected to our main one in Leuven. The goals is to keep students who go to live in Brussels active in our Club. At the end of 2017 we took over the Brussels Babel
